Apple's U2 album blunder
The series of gaffes surrounding the latest U2 album (Songs of Innocence) have revealed a number of interesting facts: 1- that Apple are capable of making hugely misguided decisions and 2- U2 really are quite profoundly unpopular these days.
After giving away their latest album for free to all 500 million registered iTunes accounts, the overwhelming response was one of "how do I delete this?"
Apple have since released a tool that allows users to delete the album with a single click, but still- they probably weren't expecting that when they gave away free albums from one of the biggest bands of the last few decades.
