PFC Auctions is currently offering Warhol's exquisite 100% cashmere Halston polo neck to the highest bidder. One of the few Warhol-worn items ever to appear at auction, Paul Fraser Collectibles considers this exceptional piece of museum grade quality.

Warhol was 2012's top selling artist, while his 1963 work Eight Elvises sold privately for $100m in 2009, placing it among the most valuable artworks ever sold.

A 1981-1982 single canvas by the artist entitled Knives sold at Christie's London in 2005 for 344,000 ($638,808). Knives is due to cross the block again on March 7 with a $3m high estimate. If the work achieves its $3m estimate, it will have risen in value at the impressive rate of 19.1% pa.

Such price hikes are unprecedented among the vast majority of contemporary artists.

We advise interested parties to act fast as items relating to the life and work of Andy Warhol are hot property indeed.
