Eminent inventors signed letter of thanks on personal letterhead

Alexander Graham Bell (1847-1922) is the famed inventor of the first patented telephone. As a scientist and engineer, he also innovated in optical telecommunications, hydrofoils and aeronautics. His prolific achievements garnered him much respect and he became a founding member of the National Geographic Society.

This one page typed letter is signed on personal letterhead, measures 8.5x11 and is dated 20th March 1916. It is a personal letter of thanks for a sent photograph.

In full "Many thanks for your note of recent date, and for the photograph of your father which accompanied it. I am very glad to have this and will place it in my files."

In fine condition, with intersecting mailing folds affecting a single letter of the signature.
