$80k 'Transformers' robot and Megan Fox's outfit for sale

An incredible 17ft prop from the blockbuster film and a leather costume worn by its star can be yours in Las Vegas

It doesn't take long for Hollywood film memorabilia attached to the latest cinema releases to gain value.

A 17-foot-tall "Hero Bumblebee" robot from the 2007 blockbuster film Transformers is to auction with an estimate of $60,000-80,000 in Los Angeles on October 8-9.

The unique prop will go under the hammer with more than 100 other props, costumes and set pieces from the movie including star Megan Fox's black leather motorcycle costume, which is expected to do well.

Fox, who was propelled to global stardom by the 2007 film, wore the costume as character Mikaela Banes in its successful sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

The costume, along with her shorts and tank top, is expected to bring $3,000-5,000, reports Entertainment Daily.

"Transformers made [Fox] a star and I expect her costumes to perform very well at auction," said Joe Maddalena, president of auction house Profiles in History.

"The 17-foot Bumblebee robot speaks for itself it's such an amazing spectacle and a pop culture icon that I expect bidders to go crazy," said Maddalena.

The disassembled robot is currently stored in boxes.

All items were donated by Paramount Pictures, distributors of the film, and the movie's director Michael Bay.

Phone and Internet bidding will be available.
