50% off collectors' watches in NY

Popular 'warehouse sale' offers unmissable vales on Jaeger, Panerais and Blancpain wristwatches

Excitement is brewing among New York watch investors as the Tourneau Warehouse Sale returns to New York.

As the name suggests, the sale is Tourneau's annual warehouse clearance event and is known for offering bargain values - sometimes 50-70% off - on collectors' and investors' watches.

While the likes of Rolex and Patek Philippe don't participate in the event, other high-end brands will be available.

Past sales have seen $100,000 Jaegers marked down to $30,000 and $12,000 Panerais marked down to $6,000, according to the watch collectors blog Hodinkee.

Other bargains have included limited edition Speedmasters and Cartier Roadsters at 50% below their normal value, a McQueen Monaco for $1,500 and a Blancpain Flyback chrono for $6,800.

Because the sale is warehouse stock, buyers won't necessarily receive a box or papers with their purchase - and visitors will have to dig to find the bargains.

The sale will be held on Saturday, September 12, starting at 9am at the Tourneau Warehouse, located at Soiffer Haskin, 317 West 33rd Street (west of 8th Ave and Penn Station) in Manhattan.
