$29k for an American Champ of the skies

A classic of US aviation, the Aeronca 7AC Champion, has emerged for sale on the US market

An historic aircraft built in the US in the wake of World War Two has emerged on the collectors' markets.

First introduced in 1945, the Aeronca 7AC Champion - or "Champ" - was the first version of the single-engine, two-seater airplane to sport a 65hp (48 kW) engine.

The Champ was primarily designed for flight training and personal use. Thisplane was built in 1946, with a total of 7,2007ACs manufacturedduringits overallproduction span.

 The 1946 Aeronca 7AC Champion, priced$28,900

This plane can certainly be called a Great Champ. It was restored in 2003 with brand new spars and wing struts, hydraulic brakes and other refurbishments.

According to the seller, the engine runs excellently. The Champ is for sale with all its receipts and paperwork, priced $28,900.

The aircraft is being sold in Georgia, US.
