DRCDRC always a firm favourite with buyers

The world record for 1990 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti stands at the $297,179 accrued at an Acker Merrall & Condit auction in Hong Kong last September, testament to the considerable fluctuations found in the current wine market, and the considerable wealth entering the sector in China.

Eight bottles of 1982 Chteau Lafite Rothschild were among the pick of the Bordeaux, selling comfortably within estimate for $23,900.

Despite a slight drop off in sales during 2012, HDH has noted a generally upward trend in values for fine wines at its auctionsduring the past three years - up 19.97%. The top performing wine during those 36 months has been the 2000 Mouton Rothschild. The Bordeaux is up 72.89% in value during the period.
