1964 Mercedes-Benz valued at $22k

A design classic, the 220 SEB Coupe will star alongside Jaguar and Ferrari at H&H's auction

Interested collectors have until Thursday, January 28 to consign items to H&H auctions' sale at Pavilion Gardens in Buxton, Derbyshire, UK on February 16-17.

Among the star cars featured in the sale is a 1964 Mercedes-Benz 220 SEB Coupe.

Styled by Paul Bracq, the coupe and cabriolet versions of Mercedes-Benz's W110/111 renowned 'Fintail' range are widely recognised as design classics.

After anextensive restoration by Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialists Frank Dale & Stepson, this particular UK-supplied example remains highly presentable.

 The 1964 Mercedes-Benz 220 SEB Coupe (20k-22k)

Used as a display vehicle to help launch a Mercedes-Benz service centre during the current ownership, it is believed but not warranted to have covered some 85,000 miles from new.

The 220 SEB Coupewill sell withan estimate of 20,000-22,000.

Other anticipated highlights at H&H include the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Lightweight, the 1959 Jaguar XK150 S 3.4 Open Top Sports model, and the 1971 Ferrari Dino 246GT - according to some, 'the best-looking Ferrari of its generation.'

A vintage 1931 Austin Seven EA Sports 'Ulster' will also go under the hammer.

In other Mercedes-Benz news, this year's Retromobile event, kicking-off today in Paris, features a special exhibition by the German carmakers dedicated to its iconic 1950s Gullwing 300 SL Butterfly series.
