Dating from 1929, this Australian King George V Commemorative Issue stamp is expected to sell for at least £12,000 at a Spink auction in October. As with all known examples of this 1 1/2d stamp, the gum is slightly browned as well as "variety imperforate between stamp and margin" , but other than that, this hugely rare stamp is in great condition. According to Spink's high estimate, the stamp could even go for as much as £15,000.
