Two rare clocks made in Helston, Cornwall were local heroes at auction today, when they went under the hammer at Truro Auction Centre. The clocks date from the 18th and 19th century and are both from Helston, but unusually they come from different makers. As of yet there's been no word on a hammer price but the clocks were estimated at £300-500 for the pine and mahogany clock while the other, with a brass dial was valued at £250-400.
