1879 $4 Flowing Hair leads online coin sale at $135k

With a $105k 1925-S double eagle just behind it, Heritage's live coin auction has entered its final day

There is just under a day-and-a-half left to bid in Heritage Auction Galleries' online US signature coin sale, offering a range of rare and beautiful coins.

Here is a live update on some of the coin vales, at the time of writing (October 21, 5.30pm).

Among the top coins is an 1879 $4 Flowing Hair, Judd-1635, Pollock-1833, R.3, PR65 NGC, which currently stands at an impressive $135,000.

Just behind it is an exceptional 1925-S $20 double eagle MS66 NGC, currently at $105,000, still withover a day left to bid.

A 1799 $1 Irregular Date MS63 PCGS with 13 reverse stars currently stands at $62,500. And bidders have pushed the 1969-S 1C Doubled Die MS63 Red NGC up to $50,000.

An amazing 1895 $1 PR66 Cameo Morgan Dollar NGC is also at $50,000.

Another double eagle, the beautiful MS66 1927-S, which is rare in any grade, currently stands at $65,000.

A 1927-S Twenty MS63 with an unusual die chip in the date is currently valued at $37,500.

And last, but by no means least, the distinctive Kellogg & Humbert 33.85-ounce Gold Ingot, recovered from the SS Central America, is presently worth $60,000.

With a coin like the 1879 $4 Flowing Hair more than doublingits value since our last update on October 15, the remaining day of bidding could see some interesting price increases.
