It always amazes me seeing how different currency looked way back when. In this example, it's a 15 shilling note from Pennsylvania, valued at $4,000. It's so far removed from out banknotes today in terms of design and size that it's strange to think that they served an identical purpose. The auction for this note takes place on August the 23rd at Regency Stamps.
