The pink topaz ring sold for 10,625
A pink topaz and diamond ring was the leading lot at the January 19 auction.
Boasting a mixed-cut rectangular pink topaz diamond held between brilliant-cut diamond claws, it far exceeded its 3,500-4,000 estimate.
The final hammer value was 10,625.
In total, the Christie's sale realised a respectable 241,100.
The second highest lot wasacitrine and enamel "leopard" ring and a pair of earrings by Christian Dior, sold for 8,750 - way above the lot's pre-sale estimate of 1,000-1,500.
