Unseen World War II photographs discovered
Previously unseen World War II photographs have been uncovered from the archives of American four-star general Brigadier General Charles Day Palmer.
The images were posted by History website Argunners and were mostly taken by U.S. Signal Corps who deemed them 'unsuitable' for publication owing to their graphic content.
They were allowed to be kept by Palmer after all names and dates were removed.
The images were upoaded by Palmers grandson Daniel Palmer to homour his granfathers memory and service.
