Signed copy of Mein Kampf sold for $43,750
A signed copy of Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf has sold for $43,750 at Nate D Sanders, shortly after the news that Hitler's watercolour floral painting would be removed from the same auction. The set comprises two volumes, both of which have been signed by the leader of the Nazi party himself.
The books have been signed for Philipp Bouhler, one of the first members to join the Nazi party, in recognition of his work. While the news of the books selling is undoubtedly going to be met with more than its fair share of raised eyebrows, the book does carry huge historic significance, as it effectively outlined Hitler's manifesto for years to come.
As with any high profile auction of anything related to the Nazi party this item is an extremely sensitive item, though apparently also quite valuable.
