The Signature And Lower Part Of The Document Has Been Professionally Glued To The Upper Part; Louis-Alexandre Berthier (1753-1815) Marshal Of France, Prince Of Wagram And Neuchatel. On A Partially Printed Document With The Heading Of The Republic Of France, War Department, Berthier Signs In His Capacity As Minister Of War, And Respond To His Correspondent Announcing The Sending Of Funds To Cover The Troops Salaries. Foxing Stains To The Upper Part Of The Document, Tears To The Edges And Corner Repaired, Only Slightly Affecting The Signature; Nicolas Oudinot (1767-1847) Marshal Of France. Duc De Reggio. The Document Lists Nineteen Officers Along With Other Brief Details Of Their Former Ranks And The New Upgraded Ranks They Have Been Appointed. Signed By Oudinot At The Base In His Capacity As General. The Upgrades Correspond Most Probably To The Relevant Officers Achievements Ten Days Earlier At The Battle Of Friedland. On A Letter Bearing The Heading Of The Royal Guard, Victor Informs His Correspondent About The Money Award He Has Approved For Citizen Chenard, Who Deserves It For His Intelligent Way Of Acting And His Great Services Supplied.
