Lot 900: Roberts Frederick: (1832-1914) British Field Marshal, Victoria Cross Winner For His Actions At The Indian Mutiny On 2Nd January 1858. A.L.S., Sir Frederick Roberts, In The Third Person, One Page, 8Vo, Edgehill, Sydenham, 30Th January 1881, To Mrs. Newall. Roberts Presents His Compliments And Sends His Autograph As Requested. Further Signed ('Fred. Roberts') And Dated 1881 In His Hand To A Clear Area At The Base Of The Page. With Blank Integral Leaf. Together With A Dark Fountain Pen Ink Signature ('Roberts Fm') And Date, 18Th May 1914, In His Hand On A Piece Neatly Removed From The Head Of His Personal Printed Stationery. Neatly Laid Down. Also Including Two Further Signed Clipped Pieces Removed From The Conclusion Of Letters.
