Somerset Commanded The Household Cavalry Brigade At Waterloo Which Distinguished Itself With Its Stern And Patient Endurance Of The Enemy'S Fire As Well As Its Celebrated Charge On The Cuirassiers Of Milhaud'S Corps. Somerset Was Particularly Mentioned In Wellington'S Despatches. A.L.S., R E H Somerset, Two Pages, 4To, Curzon Street, 22Nd December 1830, To T. S. Walker. Somerset States That He Received His Correspondent'S Letter With The Result Of The Examination Of Mr. Mitchell'S Papers And An Account Of A Mortgage Of £600, Remarking 'I Consider It Unnecessary At The Present Moment To Incur The Expense Or Trouble Of Making A Copy Of It' Although Adding 'I Wish However For Some Further Information Respecting Miss Mitchell'S Bond For £200 - Stating The Periods When The Interest Becomes Due & The Amount'. Somerset Further Writes That He Agrees With Walker That The Mortgage Should Be Paid Off When Circumstances Permit, 'But As I Have Not Yet Received Any Remittance Whatever From The Cork Estate, It Must Be A Matter Of Future Consideration'.
