Lot 722: WWI. A group of four to Wheeler Staff Sergeant G. Belcher, Royal Artillery, later killed during the Blitz over Exeter, British War and Victory Medals (865004 S. Sjt. G. Belcher. R.A.), Territorial Force War Medal (865004 S. Sjt. G. Belcher. R.A.), Territorial Force Efficiency Medal (865004 Whlr. S. Sjt G. Belcher. R.F.A.), first officially corrected, good very fine and scarce to rank. 865004 Staff Sergeant George Belcher was in born in Exeter, Devon in 1887, he served during the Great War with The Royal Artillery, Belcher was serving as a Fireman during WWII during bombing raids and was injured in King Street, Exeter and died 25.4.1942 aged 55.
