Lot 654: Fighting Knife. A WWI Robbins of Dudley fighting knife, with 10cm double edge blade, alloy ramshead grip stamped Robbins Dudley, 16.5cm long overall, in its brown leather sheath. Robbins was a company in Dudley, Worcestershire which specialised in metalwork from 1876-1928, during WWI the company manufactured a variety of knives for private sale to troops heading for the trenches.
