Lot 536: Roxbee Cox (Harold, Baron Kings Norton, 1902-1997). A group of 3 First World War-period watercolour sketches of aircraft by H.R. Cox, all titled and two signed and dated 1917, including rough sketch of Fokker, Curtiss R4 Tractor Biplane and 'a design unappreciated and, incidentally, unworthy of appreciation', each approximately 14 x 23cm, together with a fourth pen and ink sketch of a USA Standard Model J training tractor in flight, 21 x 25cm, all framed and glazed, plus H.R. Cox's folio sketchbook, circa 1915, 36 leaves with pen and ink, pencil and watercolour sketches and drawings of aircraft, ships, soldiers, historical scenes, portraits and vignette studies, occasional date, caption or signature, contemporary cloth, frayed and soiled, folio (47 x 33cm), a black and white film negative of a Whippet K-158 loosely inserted .
