Lot 523: Battle of Crete. A WWII Third Reich silver plated two handle honour cup, with applied Lufwaffe wings, 19.5cm high mounted on a veined marble base with brass presentation plaque engraved 'Belgische Festung Eben Emael 1940, Luftlandeinvasion auf Kreta 1941, Fallschirmiager Wolg. Pistor', 23.5cm high overall. Presented to Fallschirmiager (Paratrooper) Wolfgang Pistor in 1941 for his involvement during the Battle of Crete (the first battle that German Paratroopers had been used en masse).
