Lost diaries of Nazi Heinrich Himmler discovered in Russia
The lost diaries of Nazi Heinrich Himmler have been discovered in Russia revealing how the SS leader went from mass murder to a banquet thrown in his honor in the space of a single day.
The bewildering juxtaposition of Himmler's banal everyday life and cold, calm, calculated murder is revealed throughout the diary-even ordering the death of 10 Poles after receiving a massage from his doctor.
The 1,000 page diary has been described as 'a document of shudderingly outstanding historical significance' and is currently being serialized in the German newspaper Bild.
