Lawrence of Arabia Dagger in Museum Auction
A dagger that is believed to have been once owned by Lawrence of Arabia is to auction when a museum in Stratford sells off its exhibits.
The dagger is rock crystal hilted and is to be sold among hundreds of historic items that are valued up to £500,000. All the items come from the Stratford Armouries Civil War Museum which now wants to focus on the First and Second World Wars along with the English Civil War.
Other items up for sale include a 19th century horse armor that comes complete with a knight in full armor. Both were once exhibitited at the New York Metroplitan Museum of Art and could fetch £30,000-40,000.
Cuttlestones Auctioneers will be staging the auction on Saturday the 28th of March.
