Jill Chandler has collected some 400 autographs and letters from World War Two fighter pilots, which she began collecting in 1982.

Chandler had always been interested in collecting autographs and began writing to fighter pilots as soon as she left high school. Her collection includes celebrated pilots such as Gregory 'Pappy' Boyington, the leader of the Black Sheep Sqaudron and Francis Gabreski who was dubbed the best in europe.

Chandler has now compiled all her letters and signed photographs for a new book entitled 'Forever In My Mind. Stories the Airmen Told.'
