Curiosity rover finds a large meteorite on Mars
Fascinating things, meteorites! This one, about 2 metres long was found on Mars by the Curiosity Rover. Meteors are extremely common on Mars due to the atmosphere keeping them from eroding; some are billions of years old! This is the first meteor to be found by the Rover, however- and scientists have taken to calling it Lebanon, probably due to the fact that in no way, shape or form is even the slightest bit like the country.
