Lot 750: Boer War. Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, four clasps, Natal, Orange Free State, South Africa 1902, last loose on riband (3807 Pte W. Sargent , Glouc: Regt), extremely fine with a silver badge for Garrison Association Football Competition, St Helena 1901, engraved to the recipient with regiment, with copied paperwork. 3807 Private William James Sargent, born in Churcham, Gloucester 1872, served in the Boer War from 1899-1900, taken prisoner of war at Ladysmith after the disaster of Nicholson's Nek 30.10.01899, served in St Helena from 1900-02, and again in the Boer War 1902, discharged in 1908 after 16 years with the Colours.
