silver cased watch in the form of a skull for sale
A silver cased watch in the form of a skull, hinged at the jaw bone, enclosing a simple timepiece, is to sell and Lyon and Turnbull on the 12th of Feb. The enamel dial is inscribed Hamlet, the case stamped with French control marks, Brevete and numbered 1240 and 7917, and engraved to the rear of the skull is "qua hora nescis" (you never know the hour). The timepiece is cased in fitted box with a key and has an estimate of £1,000-1,500.
