In June of 2012 Queen Victoria's mourning outfit was put up for sale at an auction house in Derbyshire. The entire outfit, including a skirt with 43" waist and monogrammed silk bloomers, arrived at Hansons Auctioneers in Etwell, in a simple black box after the owner, who purchased the outfit in a house sale in the 1970s, wished to remain anonymous. The garments were sold to a US buyer for £6000 on June 30.

There are probably a substantial number of similar outfits when you consider that she was in mourning for the best part of 40 years.
