Lot 228: Clyde and Buck Barrow
Original 8 x 10 wanted poster for “Clyde Champion Barrow” and “Marvin Ivan Barrow,” issued by the police department of Joplin, Missouri, offering a $600.00 reward for the arrest and conviction of the brothers for murder. The poster depicts both men and outlines the charges: “On April 13, 1933, these men shot and killed Detective Harry McGinnis and Constable J. W. Harryman at Joplin, Missouri, in suburban residence district.” It also notes: “These men made their getaway in a V-8 Ford Coach, Dark Green Color, 1932 model. They were accompanied by two young women who lived with them in an apartment over the garage where the shooting occurred.” In very good condition, with partial separations to fragile folds and tears to punch holes at the top.
