German Shop Window Mannequin c1891 auction

I've heard of a few people that say they find show window mannequins creepy but I'd usually say that's unfounded. In this case however I'd say that's entirely justified. This androgynous dummy came from Germany, around 1891 when it first became common practice to have lifelike figures modelling the shop's wares for sale. That's no excuse for those cold, dead eyes though! Auctionata estimate the mannequin to be worth €3,600.
