King Seeley Thermos Rambo lunchbox
The King Seeley Thermos Rambo lunchbox is a vintage lunchbox featuring the character of Rambo, as played by Sylvester Stallone in the series of four feature films.
The lunchbox was released in 1985, as part of the range of tie-in merchandise for the film ‘Rambo: First Blood Part II’. It was manufactured by the King Seeley Thermos Company, which was formerly known as American Thermos. The company was, along with Aladdin, one of the major lunchbox manufacturers in the United States.
The 1985 Rambo lunchbox is regarded by many collectors as one of the last mass-produced metal lunchboxes before companies started using plastic as a cheaper alternative.

The metal lunchbox has a green rim, with green and brown camouflage patterns around the sides. The front and reverse sides of the box feature the same image of Rambo holding a large rocket launcher displayed above a sunset, whilst a squadron of attack helicopters flies past on either side.
The lunchbox is accompanied by a red plastic thermos flask, featuring an illustration of Rambo firing a bow and arrow through jungle undergrowth.
How much is a 1985 Rambo lunchbox worth?
The value of a Rambo lunchbox depends heavily on its condition. Used examples without their thermos flasks can sell for less than $10, but new mint-condition boxes with theoir flasks intact have been known to sell for up to $80 on auction sites such as eBay.
