King Seeley Thermos Guns of Will Sonnett lunchbox
The King Seeley Thermos Guns of Will Sonnett lunchbox is a vntage lunchbox based on the U.S television series ‘The Guns of Will Sonnett’.
‘The Guns of Will Sonnett’ was a U.S television Western which ran for two seasons and 50 episodes from 1967 until 1969. It told the story of Will Sonnett (Walter Brennan) and his grandson Jeff (Dack Rambo) as they travel the West searching for Will’s son (and Jeff’s father) James Sonnett. Both men were handy with a gun, and often found themselves fighting injustice and outlaws in towns they visited during their search.
The show was cancelled after two seasons, and produced very little tie-in merchandise during its run. The most notable item is the metal lunchbox produced in 1968 by King Seeley Thermos.

The lunchbox has a red border and matching handle, with illustrated graphics on the front, back and sides. The front of the box depicts the show’s two main characters, Will Sonnett and his grandson Jeff, engaged in a gunfight with Will firing his shotgun and Jeff using two pistols.
The reverse shows the pair riding their horses into town to face two black-clad figures, as viewed from behind. One sits on a horse and carries a shotgun, whilst the other stands with his hand on his holster. Two other hostile figures can be seen watching from the sidelines.
The sides of the box have separate images of Will and Jeff firing their guns, whilst the bottom shows the two in mid close-up and the top features the pair riding horses. The matching thermos flask has a red cup/lid, and features the same artwork as the front of the box.
