Aladdin Krofft Supershow lunchbox
The Aladdin Krofft Supershow lunchbox is a vintage lunchbox featuring characters from the 1970s Saturday morning children’s series ‘The Krofft Supershow’.
The Krofft Supershow was an American children’s variety show featuring music and serialised adventure stories featuring characters created by the celebrated producers Sid and Marty Krofft.
It ran for two seasons from 1976 until 1978, when it was replaced with the short-lived The Krofft Superstar Hour (which became The Bay City Rollers Show after just eight episodes).
The series featured a wide range of original characters appearing in short live-action stories throughout the series. These included:
- Dr Shrinker
- Electra Woman and Dyna Girl
- Magic Mongo
- Bigfoot and Wildboy
The show was presented by the band Kaptain Kool and the Kongs, who were created specifically for the show and performed songs and comedy skits in each episode.

The lunchbox was produced in 1976, and features illustrations of a number of the show’s characters. The front of the box depicts Wonderbug (a magic flying Dunebuggy) and the back features the characters Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (gentle parodies of Batman and Robin) in their Electracar.
The sides of the box feature two images of the band’s glam-rock band Kaptain Kool and the Kongs, with the bottom showing an image of the segment Dr Shrinker.
The lunchbox came with a thermos flask featuring images of the band along with the other characters seen on the lunchbox itself.
