Aladdin Battlestar Galactica lunchbox
The Aladdin Battlestar Galactica lunchbox is a vintage lunchbox based on the 1970s U.S science fiction series Battlestar Galactica.
Battlestar Galactica is a science fiction franchise created in the late 1970s by Glen A. Larson. The show told the story of the last remaining group of humans fleeing across the galaxy after their colonies are destroyed by a race of robots known as Cylons. The show originally ran for a single season, from 1978 until 1979, but was reimagined in 2004 as a modern mini-series which became a four-season drama with a far darker tone than the original.
The show’s initial run produced a wide variety of merchandise, which quickly disappeared when the program was suddenly cancelled. This included a range of toys and action figures from Mattel, and a lunchbox made by Aladdin Industries in 1979.
