The Aladdin Archies lunchbox is a vintage lunchbox featuring the animated pop music group The Archies.

The Archies are a fictional animated garage band featuring characters from the popular, long-running series of Archie comics. Featuring Archie Andrews, Reggie Mantle, Jughead Jones, Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge, the band released albums produced in real life by session musicians and vocalists.

The band’s biggest hit is the track ‘Sugar, Sugar’ which reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and sold six million copies worldwide. The band also released two albums in 1969, along with a range of merchandise to capitalise on their success. This range included their own metal lunchbox, produced by Aladdin and Archie Comic Publications Inc.

The lunchbox has a red rim and handle, with scenes featuring the characters on the front, back and sides. The front of the box depicts the band performing a song, with the reverse showing a scene from the comic strip in which Archie, Betty and Veronica are pictured in a jalopy car, racing against Jughead riding a Penny farthing bicycle.

The sides of the box feature images of Archie, Jughead and Reggie, along with a variety of other Riverdale characters.

The box also came with a white thermos flask, which has a red cup/lid and an image of the band performing on the side.

How much is an Aladdin Archies lunchbox worth?

Due to the popularity of Archie comics, which have become ingrained in American culture since the character’s first appearance in the 1940s, merchandise and memorabilia relating to the Archie world is sought after by collectors.

Lunchboxes in excellent condition (and complete with their thermos flasks) have been known to sell on auction sites such as eBay for up to $100.

Used boxes with some wear and tear can still sell for $20 - $40, depending on their condition.
