Pearl necklace with a $3.8 million estimate at Christies
A scarce saltwater pearl necklace is among the leading lots in the upcoming magnificant jewels auction at Christies with an estimate of between $3.8 million and $4.5 million.
The necklace is comprised of 289 pearls in their natural shade of black and gray-a much scarcer colorway than their more commonly seen white counterparts.
The pearls will feature in a 300 lot sale which includes pieces from fine jewellery designers such as Van Cleef and Arples, Harry Winston and Graff.
The sale will take place on the 14th of April in New York.
