While it was sadly a short-lived period, the Jacobean revival style of furniture did bear some wonderful fruits, such as this wooden bookcase which looks sufficiently older than its actual year of manufacture. Partly this is is owing to the dark staining on the wood, but additionally it's the style of the carvings that adorn it. The estimated value for the bookcase is $1,000-2,000 from the auctioneers at Charlton Hall.
