Vintage Shirley Temple dolls are typically made of wood or sawdust-based material (also known as "all composition") which was common during the 1930s and 1940s. There are also various Shirley Temple dolls that were made of vinyl (which was common during the late 1940s and early 1950s), or porcelain (Porcelain Shirley Temple dolls usually have wigs).
