Heritage Auctions Comics Department

Heritage Auctions Comics Department is the division of Heritage Auction Galleries which deals in comic books and comic book art.

The department is managed by a team of comic book experts.

Lon Allen is Heritage’s managing director of comics and comic art. Allen started J.L.A. Comics in 2000. He joined Heritage in 2002 and began working in his current role in 2005. Allen is an advisor to Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide and to GPAnalysis.com.

The cataloguer of illustration art and comics is artist/cartoonist Don Magnus. Magnus’ articles on comic art have been published in Comic Book Artist, Robin Snyder's the Comics, and The Charlton Spotlight, as well as on numerous comics-related web sites.

David Tosh is Heritage’s comics cataloger. As a trained graphic designer, Tosh has over 30 years experience in advertising and printing. During the 1990s, Tosh worked as a Nostalgia dealer which gave him extensive experience with vintage toys and memorabilia, which is valuable in his work at Heritage with comic-related collectibles.
