The Casual Vacancy First Edition Signed by J.K. Rowling
J.K Rowling (1965-) is one of the best-selling authors in literary history.
As the creator of the Harry Potter series of novels, Rowling has sold more than 400 million books around the world, and the cultural phenomenon has spawned a media franchise of films and theme parks worth $25 billion.
Rowling has also been praised for her philanthropic work, and has raised tens of millions for good causes including Comic Relief and her own children's charity Lumos.
In 2012, following the conclusion of the Harry Potter series, Rowling published her acclaimed first novel for adults entitled The Casual Vacancy.
The book, which dealt with social issues and the dark private lives of a small English community, sold a million copies within its first three weeks, and was later adapted for television by the BBC.
This first-edition hardback copy of The Casual Vacancy is signed by Rowling on the title-page in black ink.
The book also includes an official J.K Rowling hologram sticker, which the author now adds to signed copies of her books to authenticate them.
