Rare English Civil War Coin to Make £50,000 at Auction
A rare £1 coin dating back to the English Civil War that was passed down through one family for generations could make as much as £50,000 at auction.
The coin is a silver Declaration pound which was struck in Oxford in 1643-just 6 years before Charles I was beheaded, representing a pivotal moment in Britain's history.
The highly sought after coin is to auction with Dukes Auctioneers on the 12th of March.
