The evangelical Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church (also called Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche or Gedächtnis-Kirche (Memorial Church) for short, colloquially KWG or "Hohler Zahn" (Hollow Tooth) in the Berlin vernacular) is located in Berlin's Charlottenburg district on the Breitscheidplatz between the Kurfürstendamm, Tauentzienstraße and Budapester Straße.Known around the world as the symbol of West Berlin, the tower ruins of the Neo-Romanesque church, which was destroyed in the Second World War, is today a museum and memorial of peace.
