Cilicia. Nagidos. AR Stater (9,73 gram), struck in approx. 374-333 BC. Obv: Aphrodite sitting facing left with phiale, Eros flying with wreath on the left, rat under throne. Rev: Dionysos standing facing left with bunch of grapes and thyrsos. Ref: comp. BMC 17; SNG Levante-; SNG von Aulock-, comp. SNG Paris 32. Weber collection-. Very rare cointype lacking in the most important reference books. Struck in a period during which Nagidos was under Persian rule.
