Seth Thomas Bee clock
The clock acquired its name from the bee and flowers which adorn the front of its case.
The majority of the clocks were made in the last two decades of the 1880s and stand 14 inches high.
Seth Thomas produced a 30-inch variant in the early 20th century known as King Bees. They bear little resemblance to the smaller Bee.
Seth Thomas Bee clocks are reasonably rare and achieve good sums whenever they appear at auction, changing hands for hundreds of dollars.
