Meeting of the Orange Julius marketing directors, circa 1924: "We're working on a new advertising clock to send out for display in stores. We need a new idea, something that really captures what Orange Julius is all about. Any ideas?" "How about Satan?" "I LOVE it!"

Well this is a bit later in time but according to Wikipedia In the 1970s and early 1980s, Orange Julius beverage stands used the image of a devil with a pitchfork, similar to that of the Arizona State University mascot, Sparky, around an orange, with the slogan, "A Devilish Good Drink". The company later dropped the logo and slogan after threats of a lawsuit from the ASU alumni association.
