White Castle is a US fast-food restaurant based in the mid-west and New York.
Established in 1921, it is thought to have been the first fast-food chain. It established the now commonplace in-store assembly line and now has more than 400 outlets.
The company is famed for its thin, square hamburgers, known as “sliders” as well as its castle-shaped restaurants.
