John McClelland Mother Goose plates
The John McClelland Mother Goose plates are a series of collector’s ceramic plates featuring work by the artist John McClelland.
Each of the plates features a painting depicting a character from a popular children’s nursery rhyme. They were produced by the manufacturer Remco International, and issued at a rate of one per year for eight years.

There are eight different plates in the series, released from 1979 until 1986. They are:
- Mary Mary (1979)
- Little Boy Blue (1980)
- Little Miss Muffet (1981)
- Little Jack Horner (1982)
- Little Bo Peep (1983)
- Diddle Diddle Dumpling (1984)
- Mary Had a Little Lamb (1985)
- Jack and Jill (1986)

How much are John McClelland Mother Goose plates
Although they were created specifically as collector plates, they were also made in relatively large numbers meaning there are no rare examples.
The plates are sold by a number of online specialist dealers for around $20, although examples of most designs can be found on auction sites such as eBay for less than $10.
