Ceramic vase of baluster form decorated with lilac and blue flambe glazes, the interior with blue flambe glaze, the foot with the cursive incised Upchurch mark. Upchurch Pottery was established in 1907 by Seymour and Sidney Wakeley. The pots were inspired by classical Korean, Chinese and Roman forms and were decorated with matt or satin glazes in dull muted colours including blue-green, blues, plum purples and pinks.
