Barrett-Jackson is bringing a fleet of rare Chevrolets to South Florida for its 15th Annual Palm Beach Auction next week.

"Chevrolet has fueled our love affair for high-performance driving with sports cars like the Corvette and muscle cars such as the Camaro, and we’re proud that many of these iconic Chevy vehicles will cross our auction block in Palm Beach," said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson.

Leading the pack is a rare '67 Corvette 427/400 horsepower convertible with real factory side-pipes, one of just 16 examples ever built.

The matching-numbers car is finished in Goodwood Green over a black vinyl interior, and has been awarded the NCRS Top Flight, Bloomington Gold, Chevy Vette Fest Concourse Gold and the coveted Triple Diamond award.

Next up is a ’69 Chevrolet COPO Camaro, described as "one of America’s most celebrated muscle cars". Packing an L72 V8 engine with a 4-speed manual transmission, the authentic matching-numbers example comes in classic Hugger Orange with its original original Protect-O-Plate and a 1969 pre-delivery inspection sheet.

Amongst the most unique lots on offer is an incredible, one-of-a-kind '60 Chevrolet El Camino Pickup (top).

This nut-and-bolt rotisserie build took thousands of hours and an open chequebook, and is packed with unique features such as Mercedes-Benz bucket seats, a waterfall console, Classic Instruments gauges and a custom sound system.

The "spectacular showpiece" in presented in Mist Opal Green Metallic and Desert Silver Metallic paint, and is powered by a GM ZZ 502ci engine with a Ram Jet fuel-injection system and Richmond 6-speed transmission.

"The number of man-hours and dollars invested in the restoration of some these Chevrolets is simply incredible," commented Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson.

Further highlights will include a ’69 Camaro Z/28 certified as a real factory-built Z/28 by Camaro Hi-Performance, and a fully-restored ’55 Chevy Nomad Custom Wagon.

The Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction takes place at the South Florida Fairgrounds on April 6-8.
